Continuum Health Limited (Anima Health)

The next generation care enablement platform bringing Salesforce-like capabilities to clinics.

Company Profile

Transforming Healthcare Through Active Learning

Anima Health is building the next-generation clinical operating system, fundamentally changing how healthcare teams manage patient requests. Launched in 2022 by doctors who were frustrated with fragmented systems, Anima acts as a combination of Slack, Salesforce, and Figma for healthcare clinics. The platform allows for real-time multiplayer collaboration, autonomously taking medical histories, and suggesting differential diagnoses. With over 1,100 clinics using their software, they currently serve more than 20% of the UK population and have processed over 5.7 million patient cases in the past year alone.

A Culture of "Knights of the Round Table"

The team at Anima operates with a flat hierarchy that empowers builders to have an outsized impact on millions of lives. They describe their culture using the analogy of the TV series *Firefly*—a small, highly capable crew on a ship at the frontier, deeply loyal to the mission and to each other. They are a lean team of around 35 people who are "wholeheartedly in" and obsessed with active reinforcement learning. The company values first-principles thinking and solving complex problems without dogma or ego.

What You'll Actually Do

As an engineer at Anima, you will tackle novel technical challenges from conception to production. The team focuses heavily on building type-safe, scalable applications within the JavaScript/Node.js ecosystem, alongside React and Angular. Engineers are expected to own their projects end-to-end and ship rapidly. You will work alongside highly accomplished peers—such as individuals who have built self-driving vehicles or acoustic fall detectors—to architect serverless infrastructure on AWS and optimize user experiences that directly impact patient outcomes.

Compensation & Benefits

Anima offers competitive compensation packages with significant equity upside. Product Engineers can expect salaries ranging from £75K to £200K ($95K–$250K), complemented by £50K to £300K in equity. Clinical Engineers see ranges of £75K to £150K ($95K–$185K), while Product Designers are offered £100K to £200K ($125K–$250K). Customer Success roles also feature strong packages, with Account Managers earning between £140K and £200K ($175K–$250K). These figures reflect their commitment to rewarding top-tier talent who are driven to change the world.

The Interview Process

While specific details about the interview stages are not publicly documented, the process is rigorous and designed to identify candidates with strong CS fundamentals, a track record of relentless shipping, and the ability to navigate ambiguity. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their expertise in TypeScript, full-stack development, and system architecture, as well as their alignment with the company's mission-driven culture.

Why Join / Why Not

Why Join: If you want your technical skills to operate at the highest possible stakes, Anima is the place. Your work will literally save lives by improving the efficiency and accuracy of medical diagnoses. The opportunity to work with a highly curated, exceptional team on cutting-edge personalized medicine and deep phenotyping is unparalleled.

Why Not: The environment is intense and requires individuals who are "impatient to grow" and comfortable with high expectations. If you prefer a slow-paced, highly structured corporate environment over a fast-moving, mission-critical startup, the "knights of the round table" culture might feel overwhelming.
